Aeons

According to all earliest human records, the Aeons have always been the most powerful beings in the known universe. Immortal, all-knowing, and all-powerful, the Aeons created the universe as we know it, and everything in it. According to legend, the Aeons were once mortal beings like us but ascended to a more powerful state. A wise and beautiful race, the Aeons peaceful reign over their universe came to a sudden and terrible end, by some unknown force. The Aeons in their wisdom, selected key members of their race to continue on their legacy to the universe. These Aeons were allowed to ascend to another plane of existence, one without restrictions to time or power. Their cost was that their own universe must come to its end.
